Hey there - it is always great to see a new face around here!
Here is all you need to know to get started using your German address to receive your shipments and have them forwarded to you.

Step 1: Your German address
While you have signed up we have already prepared your personal German address for you. You can find it on your "My address" page.
Your address consists of the following components:
| Name | Your actual name |
| Attention line/company | The address supplement line (including your mailbox ID) |
| Street and number | The street and number of our warehouse |
| State | The state our warehouse is located in (this usually is not required) |
| Country | The country our warehouse is located in |
Your mailbox ID
Your mailbox ID is part of your personal German address in the address supplement line which says:
c/o ShipGerman #[Your mailbox ID]
It is a combination of six letters and numbers that is yours forever - just use it as you would use your home address when ordering things online. If your mailbox ID is on the parcel that enables us to quickly and easily identify what account it belongs to.

Step 2: Placing the order
Head to any German online shop and place your order using your German address. If you are unsure about how to fill in the address we are happy to help - check out the address samples on your "My address" page or send a screenshot of the order form to our customer service team.
Prohibited items
Some commonly used items are actually dangerous goods in regards to transportation regulations (e.g. perfumes, eau de toilette, nail polish remover, some paints, ...) or there is another reason they can not be shipped through our service. Please make sure the item you are not trying to ship prohibited items.

Step 3: Arrival of your order at our warehouse
There is no need to announce parcels arriving to us in advance. As soon as they arrive at our warehouse we will start adding it to your account. Please allow up to 24 hours after the delivery for your item to be added. If the mailbox ID is missing and we need to identify the user account manually it may take up to 48 hours.
We will notify you by e-Mail as soon as the item has been added to your account. You can then have it shipped immediately through your "My parcels" page or wait for other parcels to arrive to have them consolidated and shipped as one large box.

Step 4: Shipping your item out to you
Any order placed before 4pm German time is handed over to the carrier the next business day. We share your tracking ID with you through e-Mail as soon as the label has been generated. From then your item will get on the next truck, plane or ship to be delivered to you.
