One of the major advantages with ShipGerman is our consolidation service. When you want to order items from multiple sellers or in multiple shipments we can re-pack the items into a bigger box for you and ship them all at once. This normally lowers your shipping cost significantly.
Process
- You select multiple parcels on your My parcels page and click on the "Ship selected parcels" button. You then select your address, shipping option, services as per usual.
- Our warehouse unpacks and consolidates your items into a large box. Once that is done we update the final size and weight in our system and notify you by e-Mail.
- You can then select the final shipping option for your shipment through our website. In case a cheaper shipping option is available we will only debit you the lower final price. Once you have selected a shipping option and confirmed your order we will get your shipment on its way to you.
Are you unpacking my items?
The general rule is that we will always remove shipping packaging, but keep original product packaging. That means if you order the new iPhone and ask us to consolidate it with other items we will remove the shipping box, but we will not open the original iPhone box.
The size of my shipment is too big
When we receive your parcels at our warehouse we measure them. That way our system knows what the size of your parcels it, it does not know however what the size of the items inside is. Therefore it usually overestimates the size of the shipment. In most cases the final size of the shipment is smaller than what our system estimates. In this case we will only debit you the lower, final amount.
